Throughout the month of May, the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer, in partnership with Lutheran Cancer Center, transformed downtown Fort Wayne into a sea of pink ribbons. This year, with your help a total of $55,843 was raised.
“What an incredible outpouring of support we felt from the whole Fort Wayne community,” said Foundation Executive Director Catherine Hill. “These dollars will get right to work in the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer Research in Indianapolis. Together, we WILL make breast cancer history.” continue…
With a $5 contribution, supporters were able to donate a ribbon in honor of a loved one as a visual reminder of what everyone can do to help raise breast cancer awareness. The ribbons decorated downtown Fort Wayne as well as the locations of the Vera Bradley Foundation’s annual Classic Golf & Tennis Tournament.
The money raised will go directly to funding research at the Vera Bradley Center for Breast Cancer Research Laboratories at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.
